Bill Lorraine has made Key West his full-time home for the past 25 years. He was born in Miami and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (with honors) in Communications from the University of Maryland.

He is well known among Key West locals as a writer as well as a realtor. He worked several years as an editor for the Key West Citizen, the only daily newspaper in Key West, and was editor and publisher of his own magazine, the Key West Arts Review. As a freelance writer he has published dozens of articles in almost every Key West publication. He has studied the history of the island and has written and published many articles about the historic buildings and the materials used by builders in the 1800's and early 1900's.
Bill Lorraine's many interests have widened his range of people who know him and trust him with their real estate transactions. He is an accomplished pianist and once a year, he performs for a month on "working vacations" on cruise ships in Europe and Russia. He enjoys Scuba diving , working in his tropical garden and singing in the Keys Chorale at the Florida Keys Community College.
He is married to artist Ann Lorraine, who is widely known for her window decorations and award-winning floats for Fast Buck Freddies department store in Key West. They own an old Conch house on Catherine Street in Key West, where they live with their two Border Collie dogs, Buche and Savannah, and three cats.
